Your information
Velvet Keys uses personal information to respond to messages, discuss events and manage bookings. You can also contact us through the Contact page with any privacy question.
What we collect
When you enquire, we may collect your name, contact details, event date, venue or location, performance requirements and the information you choose to include in your message. If you book, we also keep the agreed arrangements, relevant correspondence and payment records needed to manage the booking.
The website and its hosting service may also process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request logs and information about errors or suspected misuse.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to respond to your request and take steps towards a booking. Where a booking is agreed, we use the information needed to fulfil that agreement. We may also keep records to meet legal obligations and process information where necessary for legitimate interests such as protecting the website, managing correspondence and resolving issues, taking account of your rights.
Sending an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing.
Who may receive it
Information may be processed by service providers supporting the website, business email and booking administration, where necessary for those services. Relevant details may be shared with an event contact where needed for the arrangements you have requested. We do not sell enquiry details.
WhatsApp and other external services
If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, that conversation also involves WhatsApp’s service and its own privacy arrangements. External social media links take you to the respective service. You can use the website contact form if you prefer not to use WhatsApp.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including managing an enquiry or booking, meeting applicable record-keeping obligations and dealing with relevant disputes.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct it, request its deletion, restrict or object to its use, or receive a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Some requests may be subject to conditions or legal obligations to retain particular records.
Contact us through the Contact page to make a request. You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Keeping this notice up to date
We may update this notice when our services or data handling change. The date shown on the page identifies the current version.
